Accessibility Statement

Hollywood City Tours LLC wants everyone to be able to explore Los Angeles with us — and that starts with a website that works for everyone, including people with disabilities and people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control, or keyboard-only navigation.

Our Standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), explain how to make web content easier to use for people with a wide range of disabilities.

Conformance Status

What We’ve Done

• Readable color contrast. Text, links, buttons and labels across the site meet the WCAG AA contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1.
• Clear page structure. Each page has one main heading and a logical heading order, so screen reader users can jump between sections.
• Descriptive links and buttons. Links and buttons say where they go or what they do — for example, “More Info about the Original Hollywood Tour” rather than a string of identical “More Info” links.
• Text alternatives. Meaningful images have descriptive alternative text; purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• Less motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, we minimize page animations and transitions.
• Keyboard-friendly offers. Our discount offer can be copied with its button and dismissed with the close button or the Escape key, and it never takes over your keyboard focus.
• Regular testing. We check the site with the WebAIM WAVE accessibility evaluation tool and review pages manually. As of September 22, 2026, our pages report no WAVE errors, contrast errors or alerts.

Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some areas of the site are not yet fully accessible. We’re working on the following:

• Photo galleries on our tour pages advance automatically and don’t yet have a pause button, and their thumbnail strips can’t be operated with a keyboard.
• Background video on the homepage plays automatically (without sound) and has no pause control.
• Keyboard focus isn’t clearly visible on some links and buttons, which can make it hard to see where you are when navigating with the Tab key.
• A few colored labels that sit on gradient or photo backgrounds — such as the orange “Hollywood” departure selector on tour cards — have lower contrast than we’d like.
• Embedded maps don’t yet have descriptive names for screen readers. The full address is always written out in text next to each map.
• Third-party content. Some features are provided by other companies: our booking calendar and checkout (Bókun), customer reviews and the language selector (Elfsight), videos (Vimeo) and maps (Google). We choose these providers carefully, but we don’t control their code, and parts of them may not be fully accessible.

Technical Information

This website relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript and WAI-ARIA to work with the browser and any assistive technology you use. It is designed to work with current versions of major web browsers on desktop and mobile devices, together with commonly used screen readers and other assistive technologies.

How We Assess Accessibility

We evaluate the site ourselves, using automated testing with the WebAIM WAVE tool together with manual review of page structure, keyboard use and color contrast. We review this statement whenever we make significant changes to the site, and at least once a year.
