Privacy Policy

Effective August 31, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Hollywood City Tours LLC ("Hollywood City Tours," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit hollywoodcitytours.com (the "Site"), book a tour, or contact us.

By using the Site or booking a tour with us, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

  • Booking information — your name, email address, phone number, number and ages of guests, tour date and time, and any special requests you provide when reserving a tour.
  • Payment information — card details are entered into our booking provider's secure checkout. See Section 3.
  • Communications — information you provide when you call us, send us an email, or message us on social media.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, referring website, pages viewed, links clicked, and the dates and times of your visits.
  • Approximate location — a general geographic area derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location from the Site.
  • Cookie and identifier data — see Section 4.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

  • Process, confirm, and manage your tour reservation, including sending confirmation emails and tickets;
  • Communicate with you about your booking, including schedule changes, cancellations, and refunds;
  • Provide customer service and respond to your questions;
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our tours;
  • Measure the performance of our marketing and advertising campaigns;
  • Show you relevant advertising on other platforms (see Section 5);
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues; and
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3. Bookings & Payment Processing

Tour reservations and checkout are handled by Bókun ehf. ("Bokun"), a booking platform owned by Tripadvisor. When you book through our Site, your booking and payment details are submitted directly to Bokun's hosted checkout.

We do not collect or store your full payment card number on our own servers. Card data is processed by Bokun and its payment processors under their own privacy and security practices. Please review Bokun's Privacy Policy.

We receive booking details from Bokun — such as your name, contact details, tour, date, and party size — so that we can operate your tour and provide customer service.

4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We and our third-party partners use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies on the Site for the following purposes:

Type What it does
Strictly necessary Enable core functions such as page security and the booking widget. The Site cannot function properly without these.
Analytics & performance Help us understand how visitors find and use the Site so we can improve it.
Advertising & targeting Used by advertising platforms to measure campaign performance and show you relevant ads on other websites and apps.
Embedded content Set by third-party content we embed, such as maps, video, and review widgets.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the Site work, including booking. You can also opt out of many advertising cookies through the Digital Advertising Alliance or the Network Advertising Initiative.

5. Advertising & Analytics

The Site uses the following measurement and advertising technologies:

  • Google Tag Manager and Google services — used to manage and deploy measurement and advertising tags, which may include Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel — records page views and booking-related actions so we can measure the performance of our Facebook and Instagram advertising and show ads to people who have visited our Site. See Meta's Privacy Policy.
  • Microsoft Clarity — captures how you interact with the Site through session recordings and heatmaps, including mouse movements, clicks, scrolling, and the pages you view. We use this to understand where visitors get stuck and to improve the Site. Microsoft may also use this data to improve its own products and services and for advertising purposes. See Microsoft's Privacy Statement and Clarity's documentation.

About session recordings. Session recording captures your interactions with our pages so we can diagnose usability problems. It is not a recording of your camera, microphone, or screen outside our Site. Because checkout is hosted by our booking provider, payment card details are entered outside these recordings.

These partners may combine the information they receive from the Site with information they already hold about you. This activity may be considered "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law — see Section 8 for how to opt out.

Our Site also embeds content from third parties that may set their own cookies, including Vimeo (background video), Google Maps (location maps), Google Fonts (typography), and Elfsight (review widgets).

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share personal information only as described below:

  • Service providers — our booking platform, hosting provider, email provider, and similar vendors who process information on our behalf.
  • Advertising and analytics partners — as described in Section 5.
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our guests, our staff, or the public.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business.
  • With your direction — when you ask us to share information, such as posting a review.

7. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy — typically for the duration of your booking plus the period required for accounting, tax, insurance, and dispute-resolution purposes. We then delete it or retain it in de-identified form.

8. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA"), gives you the following rights:

  • Right to know — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, our purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclose it to.
  • Right to delete — request that we delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Right to correct — request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing — direct us to stop sharing your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Right to non-discrimination — we will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide a lesser quality of service because you exercised these rights.

How to exercise your rights

Email us at info@hollywoodcitytours.com or call (877) 977-TOUR with the subject line "California Privacy Request." We will verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within the timeframes required by law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

To opt out of the sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising, you can contact us using the details above, disable advertising cookies in your browser, or use the industry opt-out tools listed in Section 4. Where supported, we also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal.

9. International Visitors (GDPR/UK GDPR)

We operate in the United States, and any information you provide is processed and stored in the United States. If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with data protection laws, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal information, and to data portability.

Where we rely on a legal basis for processing, it is generally: performance of a contract (to deliver the tour you booked), our legitimate interests (to operate and improve our business), your consent (for advertising cookies), or compliance with a legal obligation. You may withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 14.

10. Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. Bookings for children are made by a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, and our Site is served over encrypted HTTPS connections. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Site contains links to third-party websites, including Google Maps, Tripadvisor, and our social media profiles. This policy does not apply to those sites, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please review their policies directly.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be posted prominently on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
